Summary
Poker Night is a free-to-play poker game with live video. We don't sell your data, we don't track you across apps, and we don't show ads. Your game progress is stored on your device, including the stats, notes and colour tags you keep on other players, which no one else can see. The exceptions are the rankings and the lobby's live feed, described below.
Camera and microphone
At live tables your camera video and microphone audio are streamed in real time to the other players at your table, so you can see and hear each other. The stream passes through our video provider, LiveKit, and is not recorded or stored. To keep tables face-to-face, the app checks on your device that a face is in view; this check happens only on your iPhone and no images are saved or sent for it. You can mute your microphone or turn your camera off for short periods at any time, and you can hide or mute any other player.
What other players see
Other players at your table see your display name (your Game Center name, the name shared by Sign in with Apple or Facebook, or a generated name like "Player 4821"), your avatar, your country flag, your level, your chip count, your table chat messages and your live video. While you're seated at a public table, other players can also see your display name, avatar, country flag and level in the table list. The flag comes from your iPhone's region setting, not your location.
Sign-in
You sign in with Facebook, Sign in with Apple or Game Center; we never ask for an email or password. With Facebook, the app uses Facebook Login's Limited mode, which Facebook designed so that signing in isn't used to personalize or measure ads: you log in on Facebook's own page, and we receive only your Facebook user ID for this app, your name and your profile picture, which stay on your device (your picture is shown only to you, in your profile). The app includes Facebook's software for this; it starts only if you choose Facebook, and its automatic event logging and advertising-ID collection are turned off. Facebook's privacy policy covers what happens on Facebook's side. With Sign in with Apple we receive an anonymous Apple user ID and, the first time, the name you choose to share; these stay on your device. Game Center sign-in is handled by Apple.
Data we process
To connect you to a table, the app sends a random player ID, your display name and the table name to our server, which runs on Cloudflare, to create a short-lived access token for our video service (LiveKit Cloud). The player ID is derived from a private key that stays on your device, so no one else can use it. The game at live tables runs on that server: it receives your moves, chat messages and reactions and sends the table to the players seated there. It keeps your seat and chip count while you're at a table (and for a minute if your connection drops, so you can get back in), then forgets them. LiveKit may keep basic session logs (such as when a session started and how many people took part) to run and secure the service. We don't collect your contacts, location, advertising identifier or browsing history.
Rankings
When you play at a public live table with other people, the app sends the result of each hand to our server: the table name, the hand number, each real player's player ID and chips won or lost, and your display name, avatar and country flag. They're used only to build the daily and weekly rankings, which anyone using the app can see. A hand counts only when two players at the table report the same result. Results are kept for up to 10 weeks. Hands at private tables aren't sent.
Lobby feed
When you win big, everyone using the app can see it in the lobby's live feed: a full house or better, or a pot of at least half a buy-in, at a public live table, or a Lucky Wheel prize. A feed line shows your display name, your avatar and what you won (for a hand, its five cards, which the table already saw at showdown). Our server keeps feed lines for one day. Hands at private tables never appear in the feed.
Purchases
Purchases of virtual coins, diamonds and VIP are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. Virtual items have no cash value.
Chat, reports and blocking
Table chat passes through our server to the players at your table and isn't stored. If you report a player, the app opens an email to our support address with the player's name and table code; whatever you send in that email is used only to review the report.
Children
Poker Night is intended for adults. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Deleting your data
Your progress lives on your device. Settings › Account › Delete Account erases it and your sign-in from this device, and erases your rankings and feed lines from our server (if the server can't be reached at that moment, the app tries again the next time it opens). You can also stop using Sign in with Apple for this app in iOS Settings › Apple Account › Sign in with Apple, or remove Poker Night from your Facebook account in Facebook › Settings & privacy › Apps and websites. Step-by-step instructions, including what to do if you no longer have the app: Delete Your Data.
